The Chatham is located in a wonderful area--just a block away from Rittenhouse Square, near all the great stores on Chestnut, right off swank Walnut Street, two blocks away from two Wawas, video stores, dry cleaners, etc. The area is busy, which as a single woman I like--I can walk home late at night and still have lots of people around. The doormen are friendly and usually very helpful (but I don't expect them to ward off serious predators, if there ever were any). And the residents are really nice and friendly. Parking is an issue--I park in a nearby lot for a high fee--but if you work in the city and don't need a car, you really can't beat the Chatham. And the apartments are really gorgeous--nice details, charming baths, big windows and closets, and fairly high ceilings (along with hardwood floors and some built-ins like bookshelves).
