Absolutely noise free environment with friendly neighbors. You can hear radios only when you are in the hallway, but never from within your apartment. Never saw a bug or rodent ever. The maintenance crew is fast, efficient, effective. There were no undergraduate students, as far as I could tell. They keep the place very clean and they repair and update constantly. When I was there they installed brand new security screens and brand new doors.

There are few problems, none of which are overly burdensome, and each can be overlooked in light of the quality and bargain you'll get otherwise. One problem is that the heating pipes are loud in the winter time, especially in the late night/early morning. As a light sleeper, I was awoken a bit here and there from the noise of the old heating system. Likewise, there is no AC, but the security screens allow for easy window AC unit installation. Lastly, if you drive, you will find that about 50% of the time you'll get a spot right at the building, but the other 50% will leave you with a slight walk (2 to sometimes 6 blocks). Not bad at all really, except when carrying a lot of groceries in the winter.

I would definitely recommend this place to a mid to late 20's single student who can appreciate a budget and likes to study in a quiet atmosphere, or anyone over 25 in general. There are families and elders as well. I would not recommend it to undergraduates who might wish to be among the student population or in a more "exciting" environment. There is an eckerd a block away, as well as popular grocery store 2 blocks away. The Police station is across the street, and there are UPenn security guards and UPenn security lights (additional white street lights to add to the brightness) everywhere. There is a church across the other street, a church behind the building, and a pizza shop across the corner.

I was very pleased with everyone I spoke with from the leasing agent, the maintenance crew, to the security supervisor. Great place to live while preparing to study the law.
