Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005
I've lived here for 3 years. The first year was okay with the UCA management. Then it changed to Campus Apartment management. The guy named Woodrow treats tenants like kids. He lies, treatens, and yells. He sends you a letter that he would sue you when your rent is late, let alone late fee. They've changed to new key system that we cannot copy. That's fine for a security reason. But they won't copy you even if you ask them. What on earth is it that much more dangerous if you have two keys and they know you have two, compared to that you have one key'
Then when you locked out at night, for example when you go to a laundry, they charge you $75! I feel robbed.
The wall's so thin that you can hear everything. There are mice and roaches. You can hear every car from Chestnut St. sometime even from Walnut. If you live facing the inside fan(I remember correctly, it's room from 1028), it's a different story. You will be hearing the annoying sound of big big fan 24 hours, which is horrible. Every time I called maintenance, f***ing answering machine makes me record my concern and the maintenance never comes. I asked many stuffs to be fixed but only silence. There's only one occasion they answer very quickly. When You Locked OUT and they can get money out of it. It's very cold in winter because wind comes in vis air-conditioner. But what can I do. No one fixes it. I feel like a refugee or something when it's really cold and windy.
I'm so happy that I leave this place at finally! It gots worse and worse for the last 3 years.
Stay away. If you have really low expectation, it might work. But it's even very pricy. How thick skined they are. Studio rents are close to $1000.
