Chestnut Hall Management is in the process of forcefully relocating ALL residents who have valid leases so that they can begin renovations to the upper floors of the building (and work downwards over the next months); it appears that many of these residents are already seeking legal counsel.
Don't move here only to have to move again temporarily for several months as and when management decides that they want to begin renovations to your floor.
Flanked by three pubs (Cavanaughs, Blarney Stone, O'haras), noise is already an issue for residents on weekends. Street construction on Chestnut and Sansom has exacerbated this concern. With the additional dust and noise from the planned renovations, one simply cannot recommend Chestnut Hall as a residential option

Hey-- I happen to be a law student studying property law right now for the PA bar exam. landlord-tenant law says: "Every lease has an implied covenant that the landlord will not interfere with the tenant's quiet enjoyment and possession of the premises. This covenant may be breached by... ACTUAL EVICTION. Actual eviction occurs when the landlord excludes the tenant from the entire leased premises. Actual eviction TERMINATES THE TENANT'S OBLIGATION TO PAY RENT." Just thought people might want to look into that. |
