not great, but could be worse...

CHV is ok - nothing more, nothing less. Basically, they are old, nondescript buildings that are cheaper than most in the area. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. However, the complex is conveniently located near the supermarket and the train station. Overall, I have felt safe and neighbors have been nothing but nice and friendly. Because the apartments are old, however, you never really feel like you are in a clean place....the rugs are stained, as well as the kitchen countertops, bathroom countertops, and bathtub. No amount of scrubbing will make these look clean! The kitchens and bathrooms could use a serious overhaul. Yes, they replaced the windows (we've been hearing about that forever), but they need to shift the focus now to the interiors.
I'm moving in a few weeks to an apartment downtown where the rent will be less and the apartment nicer. CHV has been ok...it was good for a year, but I am thankful to be moving on.
