I live in chestnut hill village and I have very few complaints. I would reccomend that if you want to live here you should look into living in the manor, which are 1 bedroom private entry apts. They are lovely for one person, or even a couple. The grounds are very pretty and the location is great. The neighboorhood is very safe, as long as you are conscious and don't put yourself or your belongings at risk. I got sick of reading all the reviews that tear this place apart...everyone who I know who lives here really likes it. I would say that the few people who have problems all manage to end up venting on this site, giving the apts a bad rep. Perhaps the village style apts are crap, but if so, don't live there. Anywhere you live is going to be imperfect...either learn to accept this and enjoy the good things about your home, or move on and encounter the same dissatisfaction somewhere new.

I live at another AIMCO property in Center City and it is the same issues. They suck and cannot manage anything. Nothing will change until people just stop renting at their properties.

I live in the village. The place is trash. The washing machines haven't been working for 6 months and I am told that I am supposed to call because no one ever finsihed the renovations? C'mon. That's complete bull. The electrical issue is just ridiculous. There is no reason we should be subject to day long power outages while the rest of town is happy and powered. If I hadn't been in a rush to get moved before my job started I would have made sure to look elsewhere. Everyone else should do the same.
