I resided at Chestnut Hill Village for one year and as soon as I moved in I wanted to move out. The apartment was not cleaned properly, I had to bring in my own cleaners for window sills, refrigerator and bathroom. When I brought this to the attention of the management verbally and in writing, I was asked "what would you like us to do'" The office staff were like lovely when arranging for the lease but after I moved in they were very nonchalant about observations.
I was not provided with vital information about telephone connection. During my lease, there was a roof leak into my closet which I was told, I would have to consult my insurance for re-imbursement for damaged clothing/drycleaning and replacement.
Parking was adequate but during the winter, snow removal was the worst I experienced, no consideration was give to the fact that residents needed to get out of the compound to work. The walkways were not salted to ensure safety for residents, and the ice was treacherous.
All the management was concerned about was getting their rent on the 1st of the month.
I will not recommend this apartment complex and in fact have talked some future residents out of moving in there.
One would think that the with the cost of the apartment, the service should have been better. The maintenance was slow, the air condition units were so old, the cooling was unacceptable and I was told that the units could not be replaced that year. It took 1 month to replace a broken blind when I moved in. Obviously, management was not concerned about maintaining their property either or the job was too much for the staff that was employed. I was not impressed and would discourage anyone from getting into the mess there. I noticed during a driveby that they were upgrading the units/signs are posted all over the complex. One can only imagine that this means higher rental rates. They must also be capitalizing on the fact that they are almost in Chestnut Hill!!

Signs that should go up around this complex should say "Keep Away from this complex"
