Honestly, This place is not as bad as it sounds. I've lived here for about 6 yrs. and I like it here.
Granted, no place is perfect. Any place you live at has issues, and it hasn't been great all the time.
My apartment is very spacious, and I have nice closet space. My neibors are very nice, and the office staff is very sweet. Maintenance does tend to be a bit slow at times, but not every thing can be perfect all the time. Anytime I have a major issue, it's taken care of right away.
The renovations are awesome. The apartments are really nice. I can see that the management company is trying to better things here. I will probably transfer in to one for another year, before we buy a house.
Last but not lease, this place is very convenient. The Super market is right across the street, my bank is directly across the street, and the R 7 train is a short distance which goes in to Center City.
I would say, make the determination for your self about this place. I find it to be quite nice.
