This apartment complex is a complete disapointment and downright awful. It looks fine on the surface, but once you're in the horrible experience begins.
I am writing this review after I just spent close to an HOUR getting into my own apartment. The locks on the doors do not work right, so you have to stand there forever to try and open the door. I actually had to go get maintenance today! What if I was being pursued' I'd be dead. And it is very likely I could be pursued because the security/safety at this place is AWFUL.
Last month, there were two burgularies on the floor above mine. The doors do not fit in the frames, the locks don't work, the parking lots are dimly lit, and there is no security guard-ever! You would think that after the burglaries and after the man at the Super Fresh across the street was held up that they would throw in a security guard. Also, some of the cleaning people will just wait in the vestibule outside of the main door and wait for you to open the door for them since they apparently don't have keys. Anyone with a mop can just walk in! We were told the money that would be used for a security guard is currently being used for landscaping.
Management is awful. They are rude and will lie to your face by promising to take care of a problem and never doing it. You have to take multiple trips to the office and keep on top of things because they sure as hell won't do anything.
Currently, my boyfriend and I are moving out because our rent is increasing to $1200. This is because they are renovating every single apartment and you either agree to pay the increase or you have 60 days to leave. There is a woman who lives below us who has lived here for 40 years and they are kicking her out because she cannot afford the increase.
Because of these renovations, construction work is going on around the clock. They work from 8 in the morning to 7 at night, and that includes Saturdays and Sundays! Try to eat a quiet dinner and watch some television with your family with what feels like the roof caving in!!! You should also know that we were given no prior notice that this construction was to occur. In addition, when we asked a construction worker what was going on and when they would be done, he said, "no speak english" and shut the door.
There are numerous other things I can think of that this apartment has screwed up. For example, a few months ago, construction workers came around to each apartment to update the electrical sockets. When we arrived home, there were THREE holes in our walls from their work and it took weeks for maintenence to come fix it. Plus, the construction workers never turned the power back on, so everything in our fridge was ruined. When we called emergency maintenence, there was no helpful response. I
n addition, they turn off the water at least once a week from 9-3, and rarely have it back on in time. The elevators often don't work. The apartment below ours is a guest apartment which the complex will rent out to anyone. Including people who will party until 4 am and smoke pot in the stairwells, which happened earlier last month. DO NOT LIVE HERE--ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE FAMILIES!!! g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
