I've just read some bad reviews of the Village, but I have to say that it's not all bad. It may depend on the building you live in. I apparently lucked-out and live in one of the better buildings. I've lived here for one year in an unrenovated apartment and am getting ready to renew my lease and move over to a newly renovated apartment. So give the village a chance. It's getting better.

Keep on waitin' for that NEW elevator to be finished...they started on ours in March, it took till June to be finished, now it turns out to be DEFECTIVE, with a note from mgmt scotch-taped to the car saying don't hold the door open or the elevator will SHUT DOWN. The door opens for literally only 3 or 4 seconds, then closes against you, whether you and/or your shopping are fully into the car or not, and it pushes pretty good before backing off. Tell Grandma with her cane or walker to hurry the heck up or in 3 seconds the door will push her over and make her fall, then while she's lying there, the elevator will SHUT DOWN into disabled mode! Gee, do you think they used the lowest bidder for their elevators?!
Oh, by the way, the water is shut off AGAIN today, for the 17th or 18th time since last fall. No, I am not exaggerating. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE! Do you want to know how many times I have read "Sorry for the inconvenience" on communications from mgmt? They sell the place with a vision of convenience and good living. It is a LIE and they KNOW THAT as they tell it with a straight face.
