Positives:
The insulation is excellent! I hardly have to turn my heat up very high this winter and I haven't had an electricity bill higher than $80 during peak summer. The apartment size is huge. Walk-in closets are huge, nice carpeting, quiet apartment, ample parking. If it were not for the negatives listed below, I wouldn't be dying to move.

Negatives:
Mice. Mice. and more mice. The place is actually inhabited by mice and it just so happens that humans live there too. I have no idea why the apartments are simply rented directly to the mice and subletted to humans. Yes, it's that bad. I have mouse-proofed my apartment to the best of my ability, and they still get in. When I ask the residents of my building about it, they look at me with a "yeah, so what' it's no big deal" demeanor. It's ridiculous. The young lady who showed me the complex lied to me during the tour and told me there were no pests. BIG FAT LIE.

Robberies. Yup. Seem to be inside jobs. Oh, and they turn the water off about 6-8 times a month. I have no idea what that's about. And they also contribute to some government housing program which allows certain suspect people to stay in the building. Basically, if you want a clean place (aka rodent free), that's safe (aka no unsolved break-ins) then move here. If you are looking to buy a new laptop and want your current one to come missing- move here. If you want to be enticed by the showey management office and lied to about the conditions of the apartment- move here. I have outlet covers that aren't screwed on (good thing I don't have kids or pets). My kitchen sink leaked terribly my first month. I have foam bursting at the seams of the radiator pipes to seal holes.

Other than that, the place would be lovely.

Can you tell me if you've personally had your apartment broken into?
