I did not know that what I experienced in my year long ordeal was common throughout the community at CHV. I needed to find housing rather quickly as I was moving from another state. The lady told me they had a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment in the "Manor" because I had a dog and they were not allowed in the "Village" apartments. When I saw it I was so disappointed that I cried on my way back to MD. I then convinced myself that I could make it work for 1 year. I moved in and had numerous problems with maintaince not responding or fixing things. I discovered a terrible leak in the apartment on Dec. 31, 2005 and decided to call on Jan. 1, 2007 to let them know. I had to page them 2x before getting a response. When I got a response I was told that it was a structual problem and there was nothing he could do about it today. Story short it took until March 2006 to get the problem fixed after repeated calls. I also had a mouse in my bedroom slipper one morning. I did not realize that it was such a common problem until reading these reviews. The place is deplorable. I could not wait until my lease ended. I just thank God to be out of the place. DO NOT MOVE IN CHV apartments.
