My husband and I have been in this building for 9 years but only because moving generally sucks. I have finally reached the breaking point. When we first moved in almost everything was ok. The management changed after about 5 or 6 years and it has been a living hell since. Constant problems with heat (or the lack thereof) in the winter, lack of hot water throughout the year, quality of tenants is terrible (lots of "dealers"). The worst problem is roach infestation. I had to have our apartment sprayed and then missed a day of work due to the odor of the spray causing a migraine and the roaches are WORSE after spraying. The building is managed by Winder Realty and they are true SLUMLORDS. The boiler is on a timer to conserve oil and the management is always telling the maintenance worker (Not on-site) to turn down the timer thus the heat runs for only 15 minutes every 2 hours. Not enough time to reach all the radiators in the building so many of us are cold throughout the winter. Winder Realty is essentially unavailable and NEVER returns calls. Constant problems with the elevator. The overall condition of the building is poor and deteriorating due to lack of needed upkeep and improvements. All kitchens are small and lack sufficient storage space. Apartment size stoves and smallor apartment size refrigerators. As far as rent is concerned it is off the charts for what you are getting.Current rent for our 2 bedroom is $885 and only amenity is on-site laundry. Please do not move here. It would be your worst experience
