I lived here for a year. I picked this place mostly because I was pressed for time and needed a place asap. It was OK, but there are better places to live.

I was lucky to have quiet people around me, but I wasn't there much so I can't be sure of how loud it can get.

I really didn't feel safe there. It's on the edge of Philadelphia county, so north of the apt. building is a beautiful neighborhood, but about .25 miles sound it turns into crap. This place is on the edge of danger.

Parking can be a huge pain if you don't get home before 5 pm, and I found myself worrying about my car if I parked on the street. I saw several abadoned cars there throughout the year.

The heat/hot water sucks. It goes down about twice a month in the winter. For some reason the management can't remember to check the oil tanks. I didn't have problems with my apartment, but it wasn't in the best of shape. Generally run down. Haverford Ave. is busy and sitting on the balcony is not enjoyable if you live along the fron of the building.

Brandywine Management company is a huge corp. that owns many buildings all over the country and my impression is that they are more concerned about collecting rent than anything else.

The washer/dryers were always in use unless you like to do your laundry while you are watching Jay Leno.

Also, if you work anywhere near the downtown area, I would stay away from this section of town. City Ave has horrible traffic in the morning and it would take me 30 minutes to go 3 miles. There are lights at every intersection and EVERYONE in that area uses City Ave to go to work.

Overall, I would not recommend this place. There are better apts. in nicer sections of town for the same to less per month.
