I have lived here almost two years. I have never had problems with insects or rodents. The only noise problems I experience are from car alarms going off- but hey I am living in the city. Whenever I have maintenance issues they get fixed promptly. Someone is complaining about a towel bar in the bathroom being broken in a previous post!!! Fix it yourself-it takes 5 minutes or just buy something to hang over the door. People should pay you to complain, I bet you are good at it. Since more students have been moving in, it is less pleasant to live here. In terms of safety, I am a young female, on the small side and I go out at night by myself on a regular basis and have no problems. The more students that move here though the less safe it will be because they tend to be easy targets. Just last month a student got mugged and beat up at 10pm at night.... of course he was getting money from the outside ATM machine at 48th and Pine so I bet Darwin might have something to say about that. I love living here. Great access to public transportation. The people in the rental office are friendly and quick to respond to any issues. Plus my apartment is huge!
