We've lived in the Courts at Powelton since August 2005, and we will not be returning. The apartment is safe, as someone mentioned, and that is really the only positive aspect of it.
The rental office of this building is disorganized and generally unhelpful. There has been a continuing problem with the building fire alarm going off without provocation. This problem has persisted since our arrival, with the alarms going off upwards of 4 times a day, and the office staff seems unconcerned. Additionally, we have had trouble getting other maintenance requests filled - from loose electrical outlets to a problem with our air conditioning unit. A request we submitted the day we moved in still has yet to be filled. All told, about 50% of our maintenance requests have been resolved.
