Dissapointing given hype and price.

For a building as new as Domus and as much fanfare as it supposedly received during its construction, its quality has really been a letdown. Now, while the hallways and common areas are clean, the appointments in the apartments are really shoddy for the price that you're paying to live here. Too much has seemed to go wrong--for example, the "wooden" facade that is in front of my kitchen sink has separated from the frame of the bar area of the kitchen and nearly fell off. I suspect that heat generated from the dishwasher damaged the glue holding the facade to the frame, causing it to come loose. Other people have moved in to find some of their appliances not functioning properly and have had to wait weeks to get them fixed.
I have lived in buildings that were over 80 years old that didn't have such problems. Maybe because things in there were made of real wood, not the plastic or pressed wood junk installed here.
To redeem the place a little bit, some smart decisions have been made lately to close the pool in the winter, and amenities have been cut back. I frankly got tired of feeling like my money was being wasted on things a lot of people don't use. I mean, an open pool (never mind that it was supposedly heated) in the middle of a Philadelphia winter' Get real Hanover Co. Use the money saved on shutting the pool to re-hire some evening security guards or something. Or reassessing the volumes of the fire alarms so that while they go off to definitely wake us up, aren't set to volume YOU'LL GO DEAF. Last time we had an alarm, I experienced pain and ringing in my ears the entire rest of the day.
If you like living in plastic castles and throwing away upwards of $2200 a month to do so, come on over. But I share the opinion of others that this place is a waste of money, is lacking in some critical areas of security, and overall construction. Domus, a little plastic castle that's all show and little substance.
