The Drake is a very good building. I've been quite happy here over the years. People, residents & staff, are very freindly and helpful, especially the front desk. They are super. I have renewed my lease several times and plan to do so again later this year. I live in the middle part of the building and have never had a problem with "unwanted guests", nor have I noticed them anywhere else in the building (fitness center or laundry center). Not sure what this "problem" is that has been spoken of. If something gets in the building somehow, it has to go somewhere. You're living in the city for heaven sakes! I keep a clean apartment and maintainence does a good job fixing things when requested. All in all my experience here has been a positive one. I feel sorry for the small percentage that doesn't have the same experience. Tip for you-move on. -MP

WOW that must have been written by a manipulative employee or tenant. Its sad that the Drake has to succumb to such deceptions. You can read as many nice things but the truth is that these experiences with the horrible management are real. I was treated completely rudely and unprofessionally not as a result of my personal behavior but as a direct result of the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the management. Honestly, there are so many better places to live in this area. You are gettig fooled and manipulated by the kind leasing staff (the only kind people in that office btw). You will regret your decision to live here. Trust me I did! And by the way there are roaches in the lobby and first floor that i see EVERYDAY walking by. But does the management care...clearly not since i literally just walked by one ten minutes ago. Thats just one problem to name about this building..do not have time to get into the plethora of others. good luck.

You are so right. I see dead cockroaches lying in the hallways for days. Several people have had rats in their apartment. I had huge cockroaches and smaller bugs in my apartment. The elevators are awful. Many people have been stuck in them. I was stuck in one of the elevators for 20 minutes, and the call box was out of order for me to call for help.

What floor did you live on? Couldn't have been the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th! They appear to be unofficial dorm floors, with residents who have little consideration for older professionals living on those floors. I also noticed that you haven't lived here since 2007. Maybe it was better back then.
