Not worth the Trouble

The application process is long and painful. The apartments are big, but have numerous flaws. All air vents in the building are covered with grime and filth. The balcony doors do not open smoothly and cause great amounts of noise, heard by all surrounding apartments. The new carpets are really cheap and never stop shedding. If you do not get an apartment with a new kitchen set and cabinets, the ones you do get are uneven and worthless. The management is so disorganized and out of touch that they lose rent payments and then blame you. Ceilings in all the apartments have suffered extreme water damage from the ancient a/c units that they just replaced. The company replacing the a/c units are complaining about how corroded and troublesome the existing pipes are. The windows are in no way crystal clear. We keep the blinds drawn mostly because it's better than looking at the windows. Maintenance is most unhelpful. You will put a request in and it will take a month before they come to do any work, but they still only to a half-assed job. So, in short, the ceilings are crappy, the cabinets and closet doors are crappy, the sliding glass doors are loud and hard to move, and the management is disorganized. The majority of the residents are elderly. They are only still here because they're too old to leave. It might be possible to look past some of the deficiencies in the rooms, but adding in the incompetence of the management just makes this place not worth the aggrevation. Stay far away from this one.
