This place is horrible; lived there for two years. First year was ok; lived on the top level in a very quiet building. Year two was the worst; moved to the bottom floor of another building so I could work out with friends. Beginning with month one (new building) there were problems. The intercom in both buildings did not function properly. People constantly put things in the doors, so they couldn't close. Random people would knock on your door. The fire alarm would go off almost every day, so annoying. If you had a maintenance issue, better you do it yourself. I would report a problem and the maintenance guy would tell me that he would fix the problem, yeah like months later. Even after a robbery, the door was broken; it did not get fixed for days. Can you imagine being robbed and your landlord not sending someone to fix your doors, ASAP' The railing in the front of the building was slanted, very unsafe. If your lights are out in front of your door, good luck having it fixed within a month. The ceiling was on the verge of collapse in the second building. After it was reported, the maintenance guy worked on it, but never completed the job. There were wires hanging down from the ceiling, very unsafe conditions. It s a disgrace. I didn t see too many roaches, but I did see other unknown insects in the apartment. There was this smell that made me so nauseous. I couldn t wait till the lease was over so I could leave EMERSON APARTMENTS. Good luck with getting your security deposit back. Will take months before you receive a check.
