When I first moved here over five years ago it was know as "Park Drive Manor" and managed by a company named Scully. There were 8 employees in the office to help with any problem and an on sight
manager to make decisions on important issues. There was sufficent staff, to take care of an apartment house with almost 600 apartments. Three years ago a company named "The Empire Group"
(slum landlords) from New York bought the apartment and from then on it went down hill real fast. They changed the name to
"The Empirian Luxury Towers" fired all the staff then rehired only 1/4 of them to do the same jobs. As a result the upkeep of the building is non-exsisting. The hallway rugs are so dirty they smell. There are trashshoots in the building that are never cleaned so there are roaches and mice everywhere, one man on the "A" side trapped 8 mice in one night. I've seen roaches come out of the washers when I've lifted the lid on the washer in the laundromat. They have spent tens of thousands of dollars putting in fountains on the outside and tens of thousands of dollars redoing the lobby two and three times but you can't get a replacement washer for your sink because they don't have any in stock. The maintenance men go to empty apartments to get the supplies they need. When you live here your on your own. There have been maintenance men they hired that have broken into cars in the garage, they have made copies of keys to go in apartments when the tenant wasn't home. One tenant sent there apartment on fire while they were doing drugs, Half of the tenth floor on the A side went up in smoke. They also accept families here but have no place for children to play so the children run the halls sometime pulling fire alarms. I've lived in many apartments here in Philadelphia and in New York but never lived in a place like this. I'm glad I'm moving, I wouldn't recomend this place to my worse enemy.
