not worth it, big pest problem

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Been at the Fairfax for just under a year. I'll be getting out as soon as the lease is up, because of the roaches. They're everywhere, in spite of me keeping the apartment spotless, sealing up as many cracks as I could find, and spreading roach killer all around the perimeters. I would be more understanding if I saw one every once in a while in the kitchen, but I'm killing at least 3-5 daily, all over the apartment, and there's no reason why they should be crawling around inside my dresser.
There are some upsides: location, apartments are large for the neighborhood, shuttle to campus during the school year, and the dog run (if you own a dog). Most of the staff is helpful, as much as they can be. Rent isn't too expensive compared to other dumps in the neighborhood. The building is old, and noise from other apartments is rarely an issue.
Laundromat on premises is convenient, but the laundromat down the block is more reliable. Parking isn't cheap ($60/mo), and there's an issue with non-permitted cars taking up spots that they should be paying for.
Overall, not worth the hassle of dealing with the pest problem. I've heard there's a mouse problem as well, but I have a cat so I've never seen one.
