Terrible managment

The apartments here are large and relatively cheap, however, you get what you pay for! My roommate's shower wall collapsed beneath her hand one day while she was showering. When she reported it, the management didn't respond for three days. Finally they came in and tore more tile away to see what the damage was. The insulation in the wall was black. The whole apartment smelled for a week and my roommate couldn't go into her bathroom with out her eyes burning and would start to sneeze and cough. The lovely manager swore up and down there was nothing wrong and we were imagining the problem and preceeded to have the wall patched up. The insulation was NOT replaced and the shower, which was clearly not sealed correctly considering the rotted out dry wall, was not fixed. Cars are continuously broken into in the parking lot. The complex does have gates which require a code to open and therefore would offer some measure of security, but both gates have been broken since I moved in two years ago. There is not enough parking for all the residents and as a result cars are always parked in the fire lane at night which makes it extremely difficult to navigate out of the parking lot in the morning, not to mention that it is a fire hazard. Another friend who lives in the building had his dishwasher break and flood his apartment (the hose was corroded). Not only did it take 6 months for a new dishwasher to get installed, the manager tried to make him pay for the new carpets as if he caused the flood. There are three elevators in the building but its a daily gamble as to which elevator, if any, is actually working. The management's answer to complaints about the elevator was that we do not have to have elevators and she does not have to have them all working. During the winter the parking lot does get plowed, but there is little if any attention to the ice.

Totally agree. Manager is the most difficult, devious person you will ever meet. Everything about her is not spending money on her building and will blame you for messing up things like the carpets when they were old and stained to begin with. It is embarassing to take your friends and family to visit this place, because it is FALLING APART!! Looks like a tenement once you enter the door. The flooding from the rains has made the lobby and hallway carpets look disgusting, and the walls are filthy. The location is great, but now that we have moved out, we can see that other management personnel have pride...not this one!!!
