Please save your time & money and look elsewhere. This section 8 (public housing vouchers allowed) building is plagued with many many problems; plumbing problems that cannot be solved, overrun with mice that cannot be controlled and full of loud rowdy St Joes students who believe the $1000 /mon apts are in the Animal House. No one is told that the building is Section 8, you find out you are paying a huge rent and there are people in the building who pay noting. The halls are vaccuumed at least once every 3 months and by the time they are vaccuumed, the halls look worse than any city project you can image. I believe this is the determining factor for before the bldg mgmt decides to vaccuum or clean. The stairwells are NEVER cleaned and frequently there is trash, beer cans and the smell of urine in them. I have never been so unhappy in one place and it is the biggest mistake I've every made. Management makes every effort to collect rent but when damages occur on their behalf (mostly due to plumbing) the willingness to reimburse you is nonexistent. If you want to live a peaceful existence in a well kept and vermin free apt please look elsewhere. Fairway Plaza is the worse of the worse!

After numerous complaints about the inadequacy of our air conditioner (one complaint made directly to the face of the maintenance man), the management company and the maintenance man himself denied the existance of any complaints simply because they never submitted an official work order. Thus, I am living in a smelly apartment building with an air conditioner that doesn't work, using a sink that simply doesn't drain, walking around on hardwood floors whose "finish" comes off in chips on the bottom of your bare feet, and listening to a dog in the house next door that never stops barking. Save your time and your money and look somewhere else.

OMG, the barking dog, the poor management, clogged sinks, broken air conditioning and a law suit accompanied by eviction if you are a week late or $17 short on your rent. The people on sec 8 hanging all around the lobby, the smells, I can go on. This place sux please stay away. They have no desire to make this a livable space only to collect money. Give your money to a hotel b4 moving here.
