I really love this place. It is just off City Avenue. It is in the same area as Bala golf club (I guess that's why it's called Fairway Plaza') and the Mayor of Philadelphia's home (1/2 block away). I rarely have an issue but when I have reported an issue the management takes care of it right away (while I'm at work). They have updated the entire building including new carpets and wallpaper in the lobby and hallways. They just finished replacing the windows (my utility costs are much cheaper now!!!). I can walk to shopping and school (if I attended St Joe's). They have garage parking available!! I mean it, I love this place.

This is a crazy review and must be put in here by management. Yes the building is near City Ave, yes the mayor lives across the street (just moved in) and yes they have parking. But the building is poorly maintained and I can't imagine someone not focusing on this aspect in a review. Eviction notices posted on the door to the building further intimidating tenants. The carpet in my wing hasn't been vaccuumed in months. The plumbing in my bathroom is finally remedied after 3 yrs. The onsite security guard we are charged extra for has been removed. The reason told to me directly by Andrea: We now have the police outside due to mayor living across the street and no longer need indoor security". How one thing has something top do with the other is beyond me. Since security it gone we live in a faternity house with a bunch of wild animals. Fighting, loud parties, running up and down the halls all hours of the night. At least the onsite security prevented this and folks felt a little more secured. And the security was removed without one word to the tenants. This place has some great qualities but the manangement and owners are money hungry and will only do what it takes to get the rent. Sad state of affairs at Fairway Plaza.
