I was impressed with the presentation from the office staff. The complex is older, I was told by the management that the apt building was built in 1973, and that it was a seniors building years ago. Section 8 recipients are no longer accepted here, that made a great impact on my decision to reside at Fishers Crossing. I have called for several maintenance issues, the response time was satisfactory. The maintenance man that cleans the building keeps the hallways and elevators cleaned, I saw him polishing the chrome at the doorways and the elevators, that was a first, I have lived in apts. for years ; never had I seen that. I have yet to smell urine or trash, trash pick up is regular, signs are posted regarding disposal of trash and fines applicable for failure to comply. The elderly residents have been here for years and don't plan to move, new seniors are moving in. I met a student from one of the local uiversities, they are satisfied with complex.
I am a happy new resident.

To the person who wrote the "YES" response (recommending someone to move into Fisher's Crossing)---you must be a member of management, or affiliated with the owners some type of way. I live in Fisher's Crossing, and I think this is one of the craziest complexes I ever moved to. Only reason I haven't moved yet is because I'm trying to save up enough money to move. You know too much so-called "history" with the complex. How about you break down the real "history" with this complex--the murder of a warrant officer on the property a few years back; the recent rape and horrific beating of a woman (who wasn't even a resident there, from what I heard) in the apartment building (who, by the way, was found by one of the security guards on duty. She was so shaken up by the woman laying on the steps, bloodied, beaten and barely conscious, that she quit the next day), or even "better"--another incident a while back in which a guy was on the run from the cops, and actually JUMPED through someone's living room window in the townhouses, as they were watching TV!! What kills me (pardon the pun) is that management is so hung up on the fact that they're not going to issue new washers and dryers to the residents in the townhouses because they are damaged too quickly....they rather send a letter out for that, instead of sending out notices to all the residents when the rape/beating happened in the building. All the other issues, I think the other people who wrote here addressed them, so it's no need to rehash that. My advice--if you choose Fisher's Crossing, make sure of these things: (1) buy an extra deadlock and chain lock and have someone install it for you; (2)if you can afford it--a security alarm system; (3) make sure you have a family member or friend that knows how to do handywork, because the maintenance crew is crap--except for the one Black guy that they have working for them, and he is the only one that can do anything.
NOTE: Make sure you don't come outside when it rains around there, because the main parking lot has a sesspool of dirty water so large, it reminds you of the Delaware River! This comes from the clogged storm drains and sewers that they haven't cleaned out in years! And if you live in the townhouses, 9 times out of 10 the sewer in front of your door and any other drains connected to your house are clogged, too.
