nice community From: lynnevg Date posted: 6/18/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   I have lived in two places in west philly and have looked at many more. This was by far the nicest of all of them (though also the most expensive). It has the added safety of a parking garage, (if you want to pay for it), 24 hour doorman, and shuttle to campus. The view from the upper floors (I'm on 13) is nice. Interiors are old, but very well kept. We have parquay flooring and apt. was newly painted and cleaned before we moved in. They even have a freight elevator so the move in was easy. I never hear neighbors unless they are in the hallway and the apartments have nice layout with spacious rooms. Almost every tenant has a pet and there is no ripoff pet fee. Some of the other complaints do ring true. The shuttle is rather undependable, especially in the morning, but better than nothing. Also the pond in the upper garden area is not kept up nice, but it's still nice to have a quiet outdoor area in the middle of the city and a bbq pit. The neighbors unlike in most other buildings are really friendly. People here want to get to know one another, this makes for a nice community.
