It's ok at first, but everyone's experience varies

The place is only alright. The apartments are large, and parking is great. The dog run is also good because you don't have to take your dog on the streets of Philly at night. The shuttle to campus is great, and very reliable. There is also a bus right behind the building that goes straight through university city to the middle of center city and old city, which is very convenient when you're going out.
However, maintenance is poor. They're good about fixing small problems, but larger problems (read: costing them a little $$) take them months to do because they're lazy/they don't want to pay to do it. I've had problems with the pipes in my bathroom for months now, and they really need to fix the pipes in the floor, which they keep telling me they'll do but they never get around to doing. I don't really know what they're doing, but the maintenance guy sits around and smokes 2 packs a day in his office, making the entire lobby reek of smoke during the day. Most of the front desk people are nice and helpful, but the night shift guy sleeps on the job, buzzes anyone in who knocks on the door, and smokes at the desk when he thinks no one is looking, making the entire lobby reek of smoke at night.
I'm a pretty quiet student, I'm not around most of the time, and when I am I'm usually studying. Other people claim that the walls are thick and you can't hear anything, but lately, I don't know if I got new neighbors or something, I've been getting complaints every time I watch a movie. One friday night I had to turn the movie volume so low that I had to put the subtitles on because some old couple kept knocking on my door to complain. And actually, lately I can hear every move they make as well.
I haven't had any pest problems, but I also live on one of the upper floors, and not near the garbage chute, so make sure you do the same if you live here.
Anyway, I still recommend this place, but it can be a bit expensive for what you actually get, depending on your apartment size, maintenance situation, and neighbors.
