My husband just moved from the Glen to Center City. I loved the Glen At Shawmont. The apartments are beautiful and the pricing is decent for the area and the amenities that are included. Once a month they have parties for the residents with adult beverages. Their gym has more than enough equipment (never really packed in there) and they have a cafe where they serve a variety of krueger coffees, cookies, and granola bars, daily. Every time I needed maintanence, which was rare, they always came within 30 minutes. If they could not come in 30 minutes, I was told why, when to expect them, and oh yea, they still made it in 30 minutes anyways. KEVIN is so wonderful (the manager). I never understood why property managers just could not be nice like him. It's so easy, if your residents have a problem, solve it, and that is how Kevin is. I really dont know about other competitors like venice loft condos and Dobson Mills, but, if my intention were to rent and not buy a home, this is where I would stay. PS. THE APARTMENTS with stairs look cute at first but they are hell to move out of lol.
