I moved in Greene Manor in 2005. It was so nice and quiet when I viewd the apartment, the floor were shellaced to perfection. But I soon found out that was all window dressing; they are so dry rotted you could break a heel off of your shoe if you step in the wrong place. I was on the forth floor, and the accordian elevator works when it wants. It could and was out for a month when I first moved in. The maintenace men do patch work, they come into you apartment un-announced. I had to request no one come in when no one was home. Now that the student are moving into the complex, mice are too. As long as you can afford the rent, you're in. The one next to me reeked of feminine odor, musky clothes as soon they opened the door. You would think they were neat as a pin from outward appearances. The lobby intercom security system is a joke, they just prop the front door open. The carpet is always dirty, looks like they never deep clean it. The ice and snow is piled up in the main walkway, the parking lot is not cared for. There's as many pothole in the parking lot as on some of the streets. The roof started showing signs of water damage everytime it rained. The "new" windows they had installed leaked through the seams of the window everytime it rained. You didn't need an alarm clock because in between the roof and the ceiling pigeons and squirrels lived in there and the pigeons woke you up at all hours of the morning making their noise and being chased by the squirrels. The wre actually clawing at my kithen ceiling as if they wre trying to claw into my apartment. My complaints about the leaking went on deaf ears, all they woud do is come and look at the problem and make promised. And Ruth Ellis the former manager for this apartment was A Real B----. She illegally charged my daughter $8160 for a years rent to move in because she had no rental history; forced her out of her apartment for"noise violation" (what a joke) that two teneants below lied and said she was making. She was at work durting the hours that this was suppose to be going on. But my daughter's complaints, about the fighting and cursing, and loud music, when she is trying to sleep so she can get up and go to work the next day; went unattended to. This place is for those who like noise, weed scent on the first floor at 7:00am, and are turned on by sex noises in the middle of the night. And if you can afford to pay the ever increasing rent($795 to $850) here then this is for you. If you want a peaceful haven to call home when you've had a hard day at work.......DON'T SPEND GOOD MONEY FOR BAD SERVICE! My lease is up in May; I'm out of here!
