I just recently moved from Greene Manor after living there for 5 yrs. I must say my 2 br apt was huge w/ great details. My kitchen was larger that the kitchens in most row homes. But the longer I was there, the more problems I had. I lived on the top (4th) floor and everytime it rained, the roof leaked and it eventually got moldy and disgusting!! Maintenance is a joke. You have to call them constantly to get anything done. I also agree w/ the previous person who talked about the squirrels and pigeons. I swear the squirrels would be running through the walls so much, it sounded like they were gonna claw their way into my apt! The courtyard is usually well maintained, but not well lit. A yr ago, I was robbed at gunpoint right outside the bldg!! They only fixed the lights when someone else got robbed a couple of nights later. Car break-ins were known to happen too. The laundry room in the basement was a pain, because you had to travel through what looked like a cave to get to it. Very scary at night. Overall a nice apt, but as most of the 100 yr old buildings are in the area, constantly in need of repair w/ a very slow response by maintenance. I guess you get what you pay for. Now that I am looking for another apt in the area, I see that for the size the price there was a steal!
