DON'T DO IT From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 9/8/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I don't know what building the previous reviewer lived in because children run through my building (B) and leave LOTS of trash on our landscaped lawn, and inside/outside stairs. I am 24yrs old, and have no problem with kids in general, but this is getting out of hand. Now, maintenance is HORRIBLE. My bedroom air conditioner(supplied by mgt) stopped working in May. Called almost every week in the summer, only got promises as I went through multiple heatwaves. It's now September, still no replacement. Bees and wasps can be a problem in summer. I had a wasp hive in my air conditioning duct when I first moved in! The walls are paper thin(I can hear my neighbor cough). Neighbors blast music at all times of the night, sometimes they don't start until 11pm! I've had to call 14th District police plenty of times because of the loud music. The laundry room floods constantly. No working dryer in my building (for the past year), and they changed the locks to the connecting building so we cannot use their machines. Totally unsafe to enter building. The front door doesn't lock. (True:I had a stranger turning my doorknob one night!) The back door won't accept our keys anymore, so you have to walk around front. Intercom no longer works (I've missed packages due to this). The lights out back constantly go out and it gets PITCH BLACK! Frightening, especially if you're a woman like I am. Parking is scarce because of abandoned cars(possibly stolen). One time, I could not find a space anywhere in the complex or on the street in front. The management is polite, but they still don't handle what they are supposed to handle. Do yourself a favor and don't move to Willow Bend Apartments!!!
