I've got to say that this place is horrible, and I can't wait to get out of here. If the leasing center actually helped, I would think differently about Joshua House.

I moved here because they accept pets and the seemingly affordable rent. But the rent goes up, and they lied and said I was getting a discount because I was a nurse. Mind you, I pay the same rent advertised on the website, if not more.

My husband and I are very upset with the spackle and paint jobs in the apartment. They manager and maintenance men actually came out once and said they would fix it, but they never did. I even called the office many times and saw the maintenance men outside who promised they would be in.

The blinds don't work.

I have a a hole in my door. The wall in the kitchen recently caved in, and we didn't even touch it!

What's even more upsetting is the safety issues. We have complained repeatedly about the intercom system. They attempted to replace it once, but it doesn't work right. When a guest tried to ring the buzzer, it rings the whole building and you can here conversations. People just let whoever is outside in to stop the noise. Also, the front door never closes and sticks open. I called the office about both these issues, and they said someone would check it out. It has been weeks and neither is fixed.

Oh, and I can't forget the one time I woke up to a scolding hot apartment, and the oven was on by itself. My husband had been at work all day, so he didn't even use it and neither did I. I called the office to let them know, and they said they would send somebody over. A WEEK LATER, a maintenance man knocks on my door...

What do you have to do to get things done around here' Why do we pay for upkeep when nothing is taken care of'
