Well, I have lived here with my husband for almost a year. I have read some of the reviews on here and find them to be very nasty and untrue. I think these people that have told untrue facts are people that either didn't pay their rent and were evicted or were evicted because they were bad tenants.I know I don't want those type of people living here. They sound as though they are vindictive.
We love living here! The possibilities of these beautiful spacious lofts are endless. We have designed ours as jungle. Loft living is not for everyone. In order to live in a loft and be happy you need to be able to enjoy the openness with no walls. These are not your typical apts that are restrictive and confined. The windows are long letting sun light in, the floors have character, the walls are high and large which gives you a sense of freedom from the norm.
With the maintenance, I have to disagree totally!!! Just yesterday my husband ran out of gas in the parking lot and the maintenance man took him to the gas station to get gas, which was not his responsibility, though he enjoys helping out his tenants. Our garbage disposal broke and within 2 hours he had a new one and replaced it within 10 minutes.
With the dogs, there is a place here where they can run and go to the bathroom. I have never ever seen anything from a dog in the parking lot. The people here are real good about taking their dogs to the specific area. If you don't like dogs then you should move into a place that has a no pet policy. These lofts do not tell you that animals don't live here. People that have animals pay for their animals to live here also every month. I have heard dogs barking in the parking lot while being walked up to the area, but have never had any problems with hearing them from our loft.BTW we have no animals.
The building is indeed secure. Everyone has a special key in order to get into the one of many entrances to the building. The gate to get into the parking lot also has a touch pad where you have to push in your code. One side of the building faces the street and the other faces the railroad tracks which is where the parking area is, and yes it is behind a 6 ft chain link fence with barbed wire on top of it. The railroad has put this up for their protection and liability.
I have started my own small business in our loft and will be renting another loft in a month to move my business for more space. I wouldn't be renting another loft if I didn't love it here.
The hallways are large, always very quiet and well lit and are cleaned often.
I'm a woman who is here 100% of the time and never have any fear of any danger. I feel very safe here.
If you are looking for a space as I described above, I would suggest not going by what some of these comments are, but take time out of your day and see for yourself.
These also would be great for studios, which we do have quit a bit of people here that work and live here in a professional manner.
We came from owning our own home and we made a good choice.

To the Liss people who wrote this. In the future it is better to "PRETEND" to be an actual reviewer rather than speaking generally as if it were, dare, I say it, an advertisement for your own place. Plus, I'll bet the ride to the gas station was nice given that it is TWO BLOCKS AWAY

Stop being so smart. I am a tenant here. Just because I have good English means that I couldn't possible live here, or have the right to post my experiences here? It doesn't matter how far away the gas station is, it was hot, my husband was in a hurry and he went out of his way to help. If you no longer live here, then you need to move on with your life. Find something productive to do. If you do still live here, leave the unit you live in with your name and I'll knock on your door and introduce myself smarty pants.

This woman is crazy there is nothing secure about this place. There was crack dealers living there ... and not to mention when I said something about someone being a crack dealer the response I received from management, was no he isn't a crack dealer he is a meth head. She is fooling herself, if she thinks it is a secure building. The people with the little dogs walk them and let them crap all along the fence area without cleaning up after them. The gate is frequently broken, the roof leaks horribly and there is mold all over the hallways. Run from this place ... it is dreadful. Such to the point that they were offering rent credits if you posted a positive review about the place. It is just a matter of time before L & I shuts it down.

I believe I know who the couple are, and they are real ppl.I only know of them for their business.
- Her review is just ludacris.I live here and love the space i`m in for my special reasons. The building is great, but the managements greed lets them only see their apartment complexes as means to profit and not homes where people live. Services are of two types...those they act on only because ignoring them will cause more expense down the road. An example would be a garbage disposal since it is in line with water drainage and can cause a great deal of expense and man hours if it leaks, over time.
The second type of service request is partially or totally ignored. This type calls for a service that if ignored will not be of any expense to them. If they were to respond, it would be considered a finacial loss considering the man hours. Get the picture?
This is the mindset here.
