Hmm..Where do we start' Without wanting to sound repetitive, I completely agree with the other negative reviews. Its amazing anyone would have something good to say about this place, I guess the satisfied ones got the luck of the draw. The day we moved in, the toilet was broken, sink was clogged, dishwasher old macaroni still in it along with cig. butts, cabinets were very unstable and missing screws. Many could not hold our dishes. The room with the water heater was locked (fire hazard); when the fire dept came on one occasion(our monoxide detector had gone off) they opened it and found tons of porno mags and food wrappers that had been disposed of there long before. Roaches everywhere. Also, inconvenient to have bthrm
inside the bedroom. New Civic broken into 3 times before finally they came and took the whole thing. Neighbors said cops had towed it, which is possible because of a parking ticket, but when we called management to see if they knew of someone towing the car, they were rude as usual, and of no assistance. The local precinct said they had definately not towed it, so we reported it stolen. So very shady neighbors. I once spent the night outside crying because I had accidently locked myself out and management refused to send someone to let me in because my ID was still in the house. (The entire office staff was familiar with me, so you would think they would assist me somehow)By the way, lots of stray dogs roam the premesis late at night; ie Pit bulls, german shepard, mixes, etc.) One night a crazy(') person banged on my door for hours demanding to be let in to use the bathroom. He had a knife-I could see him from my window, and called police who arrived in the middle of night several hours after the man had given up and left.Maintenance was terrible and made wonder if they even existed. Everything, from Day 1, took at least three weeks to be responded to, if it ever did. A "small leak" above my shower that I reported swelled up bigger and bigger until a good 2'by3' chunk of ceiling fell through, complete with insulation. Which sat there until mold developed all over the bathroom ceiling. We finally withheld our rent until all repairs were made, a tenant right (we had gone to the housing authority for assistance)and then we paid up, no problem, to include a late fee they had charged us. Which is illegal we found out later when the rent is late because of lack of maintenence. The problems never ended, and we ended up leaving our lease early (also a tenant right)and they proceded to put negative comments our credit reports (My husband and I)I can dispute it but have not yet because it takes time and energy. Stay away at all costs! Also, children are not allowed to play in the yards, or any where on the property for that matter, so if you have kids, take that into account. And they claim there's a fitness center down the street for tenants' use but we never found it, at least based on their directions.

I wonder if you are referring to the Chalet or the Mews. Please let me know because my husband and i just viewed the Chalet and they were pretty nice.

Amen. This person describes the living situation at Korman to a "T". Although my situation wasn't as bad, I think I was one of the "lucky" ones. But from what I could see from my very short time there, the likelihood of a bad outcome was high. I escaped before my car was broken into or stolen, but then had the unpleasant experience of having Korman keep my deposit and demand additional payments for leaving early. I left at the end of my lease and no sooner.

Couldn't agree more. It is unbelievable that anyone who actually lived at Korman could give it anything but a negative review.
The place is a fright.
