I've lived in the Chalets, which are on 84th & Lindbergh, for about 8 years. Seven of which were with my mother, and now I have my own one bedroom. Anyway, I absolutely love it. I notice that there are some very mixed reviews on this site, and it seems that most of the negative ones are referring to the Mews, which are on 78th & Lindbergh. I've known several people that have made many of the same complaints about that section of the complex. And I must add that the Mews has seperate management and maintenance staff from the Chalets. Thus, the dramatic difference.
The office staff at the Chalets is very helpful and warm. Maintenance is also very nice and efficient. They have a rule that when you make a maintenance request, they must respond within 3 days-which they do. The grounds are also kept very meticulously. During the spring/summer months they cut the grass and other landscaping stuff about every other week.
These apartments are a bit pricey (you must pay electric and all utilities are electric), but I find that it's worth every penny-especially because unlike the Mews, the Chalets sit far back from all of the hustle and bustle near Island Ave. and all the shopping center traffic. I find it to be much safer back here as well. This section is right along the city limits, and is directly across from the Tinicum Wildlife Refuge. Basically, you have the look and peacefulness of the suburbs, but you're still in the city.

This review is BS. It was probably written by Korman's Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising department. I lived in the Chalets and it was unbearable. Anyone who gives the Korman Chalets a rating of average or better must have just escaped from prison, a refugee camp or more likely a psych ward.

Compare this review to any of the negative reviews and ask yourself how someone could honestly give Korman Suites a rating of "excellent". Even the best apartment complexes don't often get such a high rating. This is not to be believed.

I live at Korman Chalets and they ARE great. Just like the reviewer said, most people are putting negative comments for Korman Mews and they are located on the same street. AND yes they do suck... The Chalets however are a wonderful place to live.

To the responders above - sorry, guys: I also lived there (84th St. Chalets), for 2 years until late 2005. I'm backing her up, and happyrenter. See my previous review as "formerKormanrenter" on one of the other feedbacks. I would have been content to stay there if my job hadn't changed. And no, I have no affiliation with Korman.
