Worse apartment I've EVER lived in!

I moved here blindly from out of state and got stuck in a one year lease. This has been the worst year of my life (and sadly I'm not exaggerating).

As you can tell from most of the other reviews (except the obvious management posted review) this complex is HORRIBLE. I have never been so frustrated with a management company. They change policies on a dime, then drop a letter in front of your door and expect you to adhere to them. They will also drop personal information off at your door including rent information etc, with no regard to the fact that ANYONE could just grab it and run.

There is a horrible mouse and bug problem here as well, on average I kill no less than 3 bugs a day (including HUGE house centipedes, roaches, and spiders). I've also had to deal with 2 mice recently. The buildings are old and falling apart. When I moved in I spent the first week SCRUBBING because it was filthy. The carpets were stained when I moved in. When I moved in I wasn't allowed to keep the move in check list to actually go over the place either. The on site manager wouldn't leave until I completed it and gave it back on the spot. And trust me he made it perfectly clear I was wasting his time.

Hopefully nothing in your unit breaks because it won't get fixed. I've submitted numerous maintenance requests and nothing gets fixed.

I was told I would have to give 60 days notice before I moved out, and now they're claiming I must give 75 (even though I've already given notice). They will try to bleed you dry. I have no expectation of getting my deposit back, even though the unit is cleaner now than when I moved in. I'm now moving out of state and CAN'T WAIT, any place HAS to be better than this place.

UPDATE:
I vacated my apartment with Liss properties on 25 September 2008. To day is 22 November 2008 (58 days later) and there is no sign of a deposit check. I was told I would receive a full deposit back within 30 days. I've been in consistent contact with -----------, who keeps telling me "you folder was misplace, I'll get a check out to you today" and yet I still have no check.

DON'T LIVE AT ANY LISS PROPERTY GROUP APARTMENTS.

It is UGLY!! I visit a person there every other day and I freak worrying my van will be broke into. The apt doors remind one of a tenement in the city, not the burbs. The tenants should withold rent until they clean it up! VERY DEPRESSING TO GO THERE.
