I happen to be an tenant of ------- American decent. I attempted to enter the entry way 2 Saturdays ago and was approarched by 2 security guards, one banishing a golf club and one a badge stating that she was an agent (both caucacian). The trouble you ask''' I was attempting to enter a complex in which I have been residing for approx 3 years. We had walked by security from the complex towards the car parked 2 cars from their golf cart to retrieve his car (a minority male). We backed up from the parking by security, pulled up to the entrance and attempted to piece the entry card together while pressing it against the entry mechanism. We were approached by the female asking if WE HAD A PROBLEM. When security was told to hold on, they were heard, we were busy attempting to piece the security card together....I live hear I told them....one of the guards ran to the car, starting grabbing the door and asking IF WE HAD A PROBLEM. The other guard jumped in front of the car with a golf club (quite scary) I was terrified. I kept screaming that I reside at the site, such was ignored. We were basically run down by both guards who followed me up to my apartment door, though I continued to ask the 2 white agents to leave me alone...I was going to phone the police. Next thing I knew, they phoned the police and congured up the most classic story one could about minorities...we threatened to shoot them with a gun at the gate. Mind you, neither the person I was with or myself mentioned any gun or vocalized any threats towards the guards other than asking why they approached us the way they did. By the time the police arrived, of course the gold club, disappeared somehow. There is more to the story. But you get the picture. When I approached management about the issue regarding the false report the security made to the police in an attempt to maliciously have us arrested to coverup their behaviors, I was not granted much of a response. In fact, I was informed by the GM of the security agency that management informed him that they could not talk me out of letting the issue go. I was informed by the GM of the security company that if I did not drop my complaint, that they were going to see if the security guards would press charges of assault against my person (more trumpted up allegations). I was told that if I don't drop my complaint about security, that they will inform the police and the court that they are afraid of us, that a restraining order will be taken out against me. This is after I informed the company and Lincoln Green, that I was going to seek out a restraining order against the security company and the 2 agents that fabricated the police report. So, there has been one lie after the other from security in an attempt to have myself and my guest arrested and to cover up their thug like behaviors the night of the incident. (when the police came out to investigate the bogus gun threat made by security, no one was arrested). So, I'm expecting a few more trumpt up charges before the issue will finally get reviewed by management. I was already warned today by the GM of the security company that if I don't drop the issue by tomorrow, that they will be filing retraining orders. Imagine that, we were attempting more our persons as far away from the thugs, only to be followed by them with a golf cart, golf club willing security guard accompanied by one in a car, but they were afraid of us....we were the ones afraid for our lives. I am disclosing all of this to say, that if you have experience anything like this...have a problem with security then get approached to back away from your complaint or they will trumpt up charges against you...don't back away...stand your ground....don't allow your civil rights to be violated by the thugs this management has hired as security. I was told that due to the fact that the demographics are changing, the management felt that they had to hire security that would get a bit tougher with the residence.....if I want this kind of treatment...I would have moved to other parts of philly were civil rights are not respected. If you are a person of color...be cautious. One of the problems is that the company has hired security but is posing them as coustesy patrol to not scare off the residence, yet they openly where badges. Perhaps, the complex is attempting to avoid the liability of having security when horrible things like a rape occur, by classifying security as courtesy patrol. Only to have the courtesy patrol deemed security when it serves their purpose. I totally feel unsafe...after the experience with security and after the report of a rape nearby. The thing is why did it take 2 days for the rape to be reported to the complex via a letter informing the residence''' I think the neighborhood has to start asking questions and demanding responses from management. I was told when I made the report about the incident with the security company that there has not been any reports regarding issues with the security...after reading this I realize that that was just one more lie on top of the others. Be ware. The sad part about this issue is that I encounter young juveniles on a constant basis and attempt to explain to them that if they avoid trouble, they will not find it. Well, this incident proves me wrong...anyone can fabricate a story maliciously against you.

Well... this was sometime in 2003-2006.. it is now 2009... There is new security (courtesy) there... NEW company and everything. And they are great!! No problems with them at all.
