Expectations' Best week so far.

I have been here for 1 week. I plan to keep updates if anything changes, but I love it here. Previoiusly, I rented out a house from a man that could best be described as a slum lord, so I know what 'bad' is. It is clear some of the reviewers on this site have not lived very many places. At that house things were falling apart and it was in a city section where "things happened." I am very happy so far at Lincoln Green but I was scared when I first moved in because of some of the complaints posted on this website. I will go through some of the complaints that scared me when I moved in.

1. Facilities- Some people on this website complain about a timely response. We have asked for two things to be repaired and gotten great responses. The first was through the person who took us through the paper work; that got repaired in about 48 hours (it was missing lightbulbs). The second was when our sink was clogged and overflowed. They were here in about 9 hours. I think this is a fantastic response considering my old landlord let our shower not work for 2 weeks. I realize sometimes you might have to follow up with people to make sure something gets done, but that's how things work in the world.

2. Parking- Some people complain about this on the site, but I don't see a problem yet, sure if you get here at certain times you have to park more than 4 spaces away from your door, but still, it's free parking and that's not far to walk.

3. Security- While I may have a false sense of security, I keep the doors locked and haven't noticed anything suspicious yet. I used to live on a street where I noticed a lot of suspicious activity, so I know what that looks like.

4. Utilities'- You got to be joking, I was just reading someone's post about how other places you don't have to pay your own utilities. I was renting a house and I had to pay all utilites. The only places I could find that the utilities were included were disgusting and utilties were included to lore you in. I don't mind paying utilties here because I am very happy to live here, and I know how to conserve.

I would highly recommend it here, it's only been 1 week but the things I was worried about are turning out to be better than I expected. I do live here and before you start accusing me of being a manager, why don't you email me... ebachman@usip.edu

See you all around.
