Place is fine though some complaints are valid...

This will be my 4th or 5th apartment in 2 years due to moving for my job. The complex is not brand new but the units are nice. Maintenance has been quick to respond to requests although I have had to hassle the office staff a time or two to have issues addressed. My boyfriend complains getting into the joint is like getting into Fort Knox. You do have to have a remote to get through the front gate or you do end up having to walk out to your apartment to retrieve it if you happened to forget it. I am not from the area so I had to get a local number so I could recieve a gate code to buzz visitors in and out otherwise you have to walk out to the gate and buzz them in with your remote. However, I have seen them just let people walk through from the street and depending on who is watching the gate, the girls can be more interested in talking on the phone or carrying on with their coworkers or flirting with people trying to come and visit friends. I know because my boyfriend was one of them. However, all in all the complex is very nice and I feel as safe here as I have anywhere else. It is on the edge of a major US city. Common sense is the main key to keeping yourself safe. They do the best they can here. What more can you expect' My main complaint is that the dumpsters are typically overflowing by trash day.
