looks nice...but not worth it

when i first saw this apt, i was very excited to live here. i liked the washer and dryer included in the units, the terrace, and the management seemed nice. since moving in, i realized that there is a BIG silverfish and centipede problem. Winter, summer, day, night...i've found them, big and small. the washer leaks, and the dryer takes about 3 cycles to dry clothes. not good when you have to pay for water and electricity. it took me weeks to get maintenance, and the problem persisted (the reason for the wait was that they "were having problems hiring people"). this leads me to belive that there is some truth to the rumor that maintenance was robbing people. the wood making the terrace is old and getting moldy, and when it rains the broken gutters splash water agianst my door, defeating the purpose of any covering. the management is nice, unless there is a problem of some sort. the facilities manager has been sassy and condescending. i have also overheard all of the office staff gossiping and complaining about residents in the office. overall, it looks nice and is in a good location (neighborhood is ok, and target is close) but because of the shoddy construction, silverfish, and centipedes it's not worth the money.

I do have to agree with this individual. When I initially reviewed this apartment i gave them a thumbs up. However, it does take a lot to get maintenance out and quite often they will say there is not a problem when there is. My friend has had to repair my screen door numerous times yet maintenance says there is no problem with the tract. I don't have silverfish but I do have stinkbugs coming through the windows. My washer leaked and it was only repaired after the downstairs neighbor complained of leakage into their apartment. Not worth the 900 dollars you spend on rent alone.
