I have been reading the reviews on this website and while I generally just ignore most of them because typically the only people who write reviews are those that are upset for some reason or another, I did feel the need to respond. Some of the accusations are true while others are completely misleading. First, parking is NOT an issue. There are plenty of spaces and sometimes you can't park right in front of your door, but it is FREE parking. If you aren't satisfied with parking move into center city Philadelphia and pay 250 dollars a month for parking and see how you like that.

Second, I see a lot of complaints about bugs. I don't have bugs in my apartment and I have lived here almost five years now. Word of advice: Clean, sweep, mop and clean up after yourselves and the bugs will not exist.

Third, lots of complaints about maintenance. I have never had a problem, when I report an issue to the the office staff my complaints are usually addressed promptly and satisfactorily. I have had a few instances of them not addressing quickly, but it was often due to an oversight and was quickly remediated when I brought it to their attention.

Fourth, lots of complaints of noise. I have had similar concerns because my neighbor happens to be noisy, but when I call courtesy patrol they always address the noise. I would like to see management address it much more firmly, but that will come in time.

Fifth...management. Yes, they can sometimes be harsh to deal with, but the key is to remain firm with them. I do NOT allow anyone to bully me around, especially when my rent pays their salary. I had one instance where they attempted to bully me but when I quickly turned the table on them and pushed back, I have had no problems since. Now they know me by name and make it a point to speak to me when they see me.

Sixth, crime. The complex is very safe and I have never had a reason to be fearful. Yes, there was a rape incident on the property several months ago, but that can happen anywhere. The important aspect is to use common sense and keep your doors locked and don't open the doors to strangers. It is not rocket science. One of my best friends lives in Chestnut Hill and her home has been broken into on four occassions in the past year so you cannot be immune from crime no matter where you live. Try moving to North Philadelphia and then you will have a reason to complain. Otherwise, some of these people need to close their mouths and spend more time and energy on using common sense to protect themselves. It is not the duty of the management staff to give you a brain.

Finally, for those who are not happy, please consider moving. Your negative attitudes are only those that bring the complex down. This is a fine place to live, it's prices are very good when compared to similar communities. The amenties are nice...a fitness center, two pools, laundry in the apartment. Not many complaints here, otherwise I wouldn't be living here after five years.

Hmmmm...did management write this???? Seems like that is the case! I was a recent former tenant of Lincoln Green and I was ready to leave. When I initially moved to Lincoln Green it was a complex full of professional people and respectful students, in the couple years that I lived there, the place has turned into Section 8. There have been drug deals that I have seen with my own 2 eyes, there has been vandalism, there has been a police car chase through the complex involving multiple cops and the police helicopter, and there has been fist fights in the parking lots over drug money. I don't know what bubble the above person is living in, but open your eyes and look at you surroundings. You might as well be living in North Philly, because the complex is comparable. "Security Patrol" is a joke...they spend more time on their cell phones or in their little hut then watching what is going on. They won't let residents who deserve to be there through the gate if they forget their remote, but they will let anyone walk through the gate at anytime without question. So explain safety to me...if the above is going on in this complex. Maintenance is horrible and is shady. I think alot of the issues occur at their hands. There are abandoned cars in the parking lots that have sat there the entire time I stayed there and are probably still there. Believe me, I could go on and on and on about issues over there! Any thing positive you read about this place is most likely management trying to make their 'place of work' look good, but believe me it might be eye candy when looking, but when you get inside it is a completely different world. If you want a nice safe place for your family, PLEASE FIND OTHER APARTMENTS!

I used to Live at Lincoln Green, and now have moved to Beekman apts on Belmont Ave. What a nice change! I love it here, the staff is great, maintenance guy Joe is very helpful, as well as friendly. All utilities are included in the rent, and it is STILL cheaper than Lincoln Green. Nice Property Manager, Beth. There is even a workout room, and a garage with assigned parking for a mere $40 a month. Check it out. I have been here almost 2 years ,and love it.
