I originally moved into this complex b/c of the quiet atmosphere of young professionals that existed at the time of my move in. It seemed to actually be a nice place to live in Philly especially for a young professional woman, which is rare. That has since changed. Lincoln Green has quickly become the most expensive set of projects in the world, with all of the trimmings you'd expect to find in your average Philadelphia slum - crime, excessive noise, domestic violence, obnoxious ghetto people fighting and carrying on all hours of the night - you name it, this place has got it any night of the week. There are 2 pools but you have to pay $5 if you want to bring a guest so unless you like hanging out poolside by yourself and being harassed for your pool pass by the anal-retentive lifeguards (seriously, where do they find these people'), you'll want to stock up on some guest passes or you're out of luck. The icing on the cake is that any car not registered to a tenant (1 per tenant) will be towed from the lot at night beginning June 1, 2009. This effectively makes it impossible to have an overnight guest without getting them a "guest pass" (what a debacle this will be) - boyfriend, girlfriend, family - they'll all get towed unless you have a "guest pass". The cherry on top of the icing on top of that cake is the insanely rude staff who treat you like a criminal when you make a complaint about something relevant like excessive noise or people fighting outside your apartment or what have you. Those women couldn't be nicer until you sign the lease. Then simply picking up a package from them at the office makes you an annoyance and they'll surely roll their eyes as they reluctantly tolerate your presence. I thought I actually found a tolerable place to live in the city of Philadelphia. That lasted a few months. Now days it's wake up to bass shaking the walls, go to sleep to people partying, fighting, and carrying on, get woken up in the middle of the night by people blasting your favorite down south hip hop music and revving their car engines for you, get disturbed all day by all of the above. Even a deaf person would quickly become annoyed by obnoxious tenants running and jumping up and down on the concrete and metal steps, which make the entire building shake. Everyone that I know that lives here shares my sentiment. When my lease expires next month I am gone baby gone. Lincoln Green, Luxury Projects.

I have lived in Lincoln Green for three years and I've never once had a problem. As for the 'parking problem' goes... that started two days ago... did you REALLY have a car towed within those days? because in our apt we ave two people tat have cars and they were just registered after 5 today and neither of them were towed... i think they wouldnt give you smething you wanted, like out of your lease or something and you are trying to now give them a bad name...

in what building did you have problems with noise?

In response to response: Actually, if you read other reviews on this and other sites, you'll find that there is plenty of similar feedback to validate my review above. In fact, the only type of person that would say "I've never once had a problem" is: 1. One of the people causing the problems or 2. A person who works for the front office of Lincoln Green I'm going to assume you're the latter. Lincoln Green is a joke, and my user review is SPOT ON. If anyone doesn't believe it, simply move in there and experience the nightmare for yourself. Their so called "Courtesy Patrol" doesn't even do anything about noise anymore. The tell you to "call the cops if you want". It's so unbelievably ghetto. Lincoln Green deserves the bad name that they so rightfully earn. They could care less about anything that doesn't put money in the bank for them. Thankfully, the internet has afforded tenants such as myself the ability to get the word out on horrid places to live like Lincoln Green, so that other unsuspecting tenants are forewarned. Run!!!

I've lived here over two years and Im not sure what "noise" the above review is talking about. Occasionally you do hear people on the weekend walking to their apartments, but honestly its for about two seconds and maybe once every month or so...not bothersome at all really. The staff are pretty nice and maitenence is cool. It is overpriced for the size of the apartment, but i've never had a rodentk, an insect, nothing! I believe you get what you pay for honestly. Lincoln Green is cool with me!

I've been at lincoln green for a yr & have never heard any noise. Mgmt has been very helpful & friendly. $5 for a pool pass is cheap for the city. When i lived at ptp (22nd & the parkway) it was $20 for a guest! you shouldn't ----- if you don't know what else is out there.
