nice building and initially well priced but expect large increases in rent with every additional year you spend there. I was one of the first tenants...when I first moved in, the deal included a gym and doorman, the next year, the gym was extra, the 3d year parking became prohibitively expensive and the doorman became an additional expense.
The management staff is terrible!!! I can't emphasize that enough. They had an extensive flood which caused damage to many units. They refused to hire professionals to clean up the water damage. Instead, they used the grounds staff to move around furniture and vacuum water. We were not allowed in our apartments for 2 weeks, they refused to reimburse the rent and they damaged furniture in the clean up process.

I am thinking about moving to Locust on the Park and read this review prior to my visit. My first thought after reading this review is WHY would you live in a building for 5 years if it was as aweful as you say it is???

I guess it's because the facilities and doormen are awesome, while the management office (Dranoff Properties) is awful.

The flood happened in about 2004. Locust on the Park is somewhat high up, but it is near the Schukyill River, and 2004 was an unusual year.

In 2006, heavy water leaks (because of rain) happened many times. Several units including mine were damaged. As you may expect, they refused to compensate for any damage. Very Unfaithful. I???m surprised that the previous person does not know it; quite a few tenants complained about it.

I also live ther ein 2006 and had horrible problems with a leaking roof. I had to move/cover furniture & put out pots when it rained. They also refused to offer any type of compensation when I asked. The management office they were aware of the problem but were working on fixing it. It was not fixed through the duration of my lease.
