Pros:
-Quiet. great for grad students and young professionals.
-Location. especially great for penn grad students or anyone working in center city.
-nice area. right next to the river park entrance, community gardens, and a block away from markward playground.
-great closet space.
-maintenance guys are extremely nice and helpful. if you have a maintenance request, make sure you put it in writing! things get done faster that way.
-pretty secure. I never saw a problem, but we received a memo that some cars in the garage had been vandalized.
-full-sized dishwasher and oven; half-pint washer and dryer


cons:
-noisy: if you face the rear of the building, you'll get a lot of the morning and afternoon dumpster noise, not to mention profanity.
-OUTRAGEOUS utility bills, thanks to the high ceilings and uninsulated old windows that will never be replaced, expect to pay $200 in july and february (perhaps less if you have fewer windows).
-trash chute backs up in afternoons and weekends, so people just pile their garbage in the trash rooms.
-for a while, other tenants seemed to be allowing their dogs to urinate in the CARPETED freight elevator. disgusting and rude, but not management's fault.
-management is only present on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you need anything done, it pays to be nice and follow up in writing.

overall it's a decent place if you've just moved to the city, but I can't imagine staying there for longer than a few years.
