We moved from a sleepy town in VA to the big city of Philly and chose Lofts 640 because of the 24/7 security, enclosed parking (very rare in the city), and "loft" living feel. When moving in, the leasing dept. let us chose up to 3 colors to paint our place... when we moved in, everything was clean and freshly painted! We love the high ceilings, open space, and luxurious kitchen. The bathroom is very large with the washer and dryer included, the kitchen has plenty of storage space (including a large island with more storage!), the appliances are all state-of-the-art, and windows huge with a wonderful city skyline view. We've had virtually no maintenance problems, but those that we did (change a lightbulb in the bathroom and fix a blind on the window), it was fixed the very next day. We've gotten a lot of snow this year and the maintenance are constantly shoveling and clearing snow inside the gated area so tenants can come and go as needed. The grounds are always clean and nicely kept. We love the gym, cyber lounge, and have even enjoyed the FREE yoga classes provided to tenants on Monday nights.
Coming from a small town in VA, to the big city... our adjustment was very nice. It's very quiet here, I feel very safe, we love that everything is within walking distance, and we especially love the "city loft" feel... exposed brick, 12' window walls, open, vaulted ceilings with exposed piping, and authentic pillars from original structure.
