Manayunk Garden Apartments

Slum From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/30/2003 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003   There's a reason why this is the cheapest rent you'll find in Manayunk: The place sucks. With all the charm of a bombshelter, the exterior doesn't appeal, and things only get worse on the inside. The actual layout isn't bad. The apartments are relatively roomy and so on. Only problem is that most units haven't been rennovated since the 1960s. And god forbid that you live on the second floor. Leaks are common place. And then there's problem in getting anything fixed. The only consistently effective way to get things fixed is with implied threats of violence. I will give the maintenance folks the benefit of the doubt in that the things I've complained of have been minor, at least in comparison with things like tubs crashing through rotten floors to the unit below. So, my complaints about broken exterior and hall lights pale in comparison with the other problems the maintenance guys are contending with.
