When my roomate and I first moved in Manayunk Gardens was fine. Then the problems started.
1. The Bugs. There are long creepy crawler bugs all over my apt. The run all over the carpet and up the walls... they like to come out at night. beware.
2. The mice. My cat has killed 5.
3. The 24 hr matinence number magically stops working after the property manager goes home. I have had more than 4 emergencies and they never responded... this left me with my shower full stream running for more than 24 hrs... Gas stove leak... and not being able to open my apt door (which I was forced to climb through my window...which never locks)
4. The Pool costs 100$ and isnt worth it.
5. The washers have been filled with moldy water for 6 months now...
6. The hallway smells like pee and old food
7. Sometimes the "security doors" dont lock
8. I can hear EVERYTHING my upstairs neighboors do... from opening their closets to talking... if I mute my tv I can hear their conversation.
9. Also, the people above me have at least 6 people living there... and the property manager doesn't "notice"
10. My mailbox, carpet, screen door, windows, smoke dector, cabinets, bathroom fan, shower and sink drain, and toliet (it takes at least 3 times to flush everything done) have been broken since I moved in... when matinence comes... they half ass the job so within 1 hr... it breaks again... and thats only if they decide to come.
11. It takes at least 3 times before anyone gets back to you in the office
12. The Property Manager just appologizes and makes excuses.
13. Be prepared to walk in the dark... the lights outside work once in a while. its "safe"
*I can not wait to move out... DO NOT live here, its a waste of $$$$ you can find a house for cheaper... and closer to main street... moving in here was the worst mistake, JUST SAY NO. Its all a gilded appearance...
