slightly expensive but extremely livable

I rented a large studio for one year. When I first began my apartment hunt I gave myself that I thought would provide for adequate housing in a safe location. After seeing the squalor my budget afforded me, I threw financial concerns out the window and signed at the metropolitan. My heft rent includes a nicely remodeled kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, all with new appliances. It is an all electric unit and my utility bill is normally around $125. It's a very quite building with a nice study/tv room and exercise room off the lobby. Oh, and the roof deck is sorta sexy. Yes there is the occasional fire alarm which is annoying, but other than that the building has been really comfortable. Grocery shopping is a pain if you don't have a car or a transpass. There is ambient city noise but nothing you wouldn't expect from living downtown.
