I moved into a beautifully renovated one bedroom apt about a month and a half ago. First the good: the renovations are great. Brand new kitchen and bathroom, wood floor, lots of natural light, nice views of the city. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests are completed very quickly. The apartment has a small gym with new equipment, a nice community room, and a GREAT roof deck with awesome city views. The location is really good...I am able to walk everywhere. The closest grocery stores are about a 20 minute walk except for Reading Terminal which is really close and great for produce. The city noise doesn't bother me too much but it can get a little loud with the windows open.

Unfortunately the only negatives that I've had here are pretty bad...mice! I keep my apartment really clean and trash-free and yet I've still had mice. Apparently there is some kind of exterminator that comes to the building every friday so they will hopefully set some traps and take care of it but I have a feeling that the mice will continue to be a problem. To some extent I think that this is just something that you have to deal with when living in an old apt building in the city (I did see one mouse in my old apt building and I also saw roaches there).
